Manor Fruit Farm

Manor Fruit Farm is a well-used open space serving the whole village community. Its main uses are for play and outdoor sport. The facilities in the open space consist of a conventional playground, adult fitness green gym bowling and archery, and the site includes a therapy garden. The Fruit Farm is the principal area for sport and leisure available for the local community. The site was leased to the Parish Council in 2000 on a 125 yr lease.

The Parish CounciDSCF0014_1l are putting together plans for the next stage of development of the site. We are planning to move Normandy Football club from the Common and they will have an adult and junior pitch with plans  to develop a Junior team. They will share their pitch over the summer months with Guildford Mavericks a baseball and softball club who attract players of all ages and abilities. We also have a Rounders Club. Part of the plans will involve building a new Pavilion on the site so that the teams will have access to changing facilities. We are planning to hold meetings and hope you will be involved in putting together ideas for this important development. We were asked to host the Volleyball championships this year but were unable to provide them with toilet facilities.  In the future this should not be an issue.

The Parish Council are committed to making provision for activities that young people will seek to become involved with and of course families.

We are holding a Sports Day on the 16th May on Normandy Common. You will have the opportunity to participate in competions involving baseball, soft ball, football, Rounders, table tennis and Street Snooker. We will be open from 12noon to 4pm. Everyone is welcome.
